For many of us, tomorrow is Thanksgiving. That means a full day of cooking followed by 30-40 minutes of overeating with friends and loved ones. Like millions of Americans, I bought a turkey, fresh cranberries, milk, eggs, pecans, etc. in preparation for the big day. I’m only feeding a family of four this year, but it still adds up.
I'm so grateful for you writing the Deficit Myth. I try to look at outcomes strategically and sooo many times as a military officer (please don't judge based on the Defense budget...:)) we're told no as the "taxpayers don't want to fund it" or we automatically plan to indiscriminately reduce budgets by 10% every year to help balance the budget. Your book opened my eyes to a confusing subject and provided hope, confidence, and a means that we the people can envision and resource a country where everyone prospers. We'll need to overcome much individual greed and hatred. You can count on me to help spread MMT (yellow/green money) despite my finance friends and family looking like I have three heads when we discuss yet they find themselves agreeing. Keep up the fight! When will Biden appoint you as Treasury Secretary?
