Each year, Oxford High School hosts a free, virtual half-day conference on Economics. I was scheduled to speak to more than 2,000 high-school students from more than 70 schools across the United Kingdom later today. For obvious reasons, the event has been rescheduled.
This year's topic is Current Economic Theory. The conference is offered to all state schools in the country, which is a really neat thing. I was invited to talk with students about Modern Monetary Theory (MMT) and my book, The Deficit Myth.
I look forward to doing so on October 3.
Fantastic to hear you’re a key speaker at such a prominent event in the economic formation of youngsters, Prof.
Are you aware whether your conference is available to state schools in Scotland?
Your event sounds great, and I'm sure much better than the distribution to all UK schools of the Bank of England's book - https://www.penguin.co.uk/books/442240/cant-we-just-print-more-money-by-england-rupal-patel-jack-meaning-and-the-bank-of/9781847943385
